Between the peacefulness of a misty mountain morning and the coziness of an evening campfire, the untamed Georgia wilderness attracts thousands of campers each year.
Whether you're looking for an unspoiled lake to catch a few bass, a quiet mountain retreat to reconnect with your inner Zen or just a good old-fashioned family vacation, Georgia features more than 1 million acres of land zoned for public recreation.
Fall in love with places like the Chattahoochee National Forest or the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. If you're looking for clean mountain air, there's no better place to find it than Georgia.
But be forewarned, there's a chance you might grow to love everything the largest state east of the Mississippi has to offer. If that's the case, you'll soon be looking for apartments in Atlanta so that you can make these haunts part of your weekend ritual.
