2013 Quarter Midget Association Racing at the Cumming Fairgrounds - Quarter Midget Racing is a family sport for children between the ages of 6 - 16 years old. Don Carter State Park This is Georgia's newest state park. Just a few miles north of Gainesville, Georgia, it just opened in July 2013. Located on the scenic shores of Lake Sydney Lanier, this 1,316-acre park has a wide lake swimming area. Enjoy fishing, boating, lake swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and so much more! Visit DeSoto Falls Scenic Waterfalls - These beautiful falls are along the the DeSoto Falls Trail located in the 650-acre recreation area. They are designated as the lower, middle and upper DeSoto Falls. The lower falls cascades 20 feet, the middle falls about 80 feet, and the upper falls about 200 feet.
