Park and Recreation Center General Info |
The park has 5-Youth Baseball-Softball Fields, 4 Adult Softball Fields, 3 Soccer Fields, 8 Tennis Courts, 27-Hole Disc Golf Course, Playground, Picnic Pavilion, Mountain Bike Trail & Recreation Center. The Recreation Center facilities include 2-Gymnasiums, Fitness Area, Mezzanine Walking Area, Art and Pottery Studio, Fitness Studio, Dance Studio, Meeting Rooms and a Banquet Room with a catering kitchen. It also has a mountain bike trail and a disc golf course. |
Mountain Bike Trail |
To get to the trail head, follow main park drive past Sheriff's office to back of park. Look for trailhead kiosk on left at bottom of hill. Trail starts 100 feet away. Map of trail is located at the Kiosk. This bike trail is 3.75 miles It has beginner, intermediate and advanced features. It opens at daylight and closes at 11 pm.
Trail Rules
The trail is open for mountain biking only! No walking or running on trail. If found on foot, you will be asked to leave or receive a ticket.
No helmet, no ride!
There is only one access point for the trail and that is from the Kiosk area.
Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the trail.
Always be courteous when passing others.
No unarthorized trail building on XC Trail or in Freeride Park
Be courteous to disc golfers and yield to throwers.
Donations are not required but are appreciated. Donations are given to the trail building volunteer group.
Trail is closed during rain and 24 hours after rain.

Disc Golf Course |
This course is a 27-Hole disc golf course. The course consists of 27 permanent baskets. There is an open 18 holes and 9 additional woods holes that begin after hole 12 and finish before hole 13. The 9 woods holes are labeled 12-A thru 12-I. Each hole has white, red and blue tees for beginner, intermediate and advanced level players.
There are several options for playing the course:
1. Start at hole 1 and play 1-18 on the open course.
2. Start at hole 1 and play all 27 holes, 1-12, the woods, then 13-18
3. Start down by the Recreation Center at the woods hole, 12-G and play only the 9 woods holes.
The Forsyth County Disc Golf Club is working on a revitalization of a super-sized 18 hole GOLD tee course at this location. The GOLD course will utilize 18 of the 27 existing holes in a super-sized format to provide a championship level course.
The course is open everyday during daylight hours and there is no charge to play. If you need to rent discs, please visit the Recreation Center inside the park. Each bag rents for a small fee.
The Forsyth County Disc Golf Club manages the course and hosts the following regularly scheduled activities:
Sunday Random Draw Doubles: The doubles tournaments start at 1pm during eastern standard time and at 4pm during daylight savings time. We play a different set of tee’s each week of the month:
First Sunday: Blue Tees
Second Sunday: Red Tees
Third Sunday: Mixed Tees
Fourth Sunday: White Tees
Fifth Sunday: Mixed tees
