Black Shoals Park & Randy Pointer Lake - Amenities: 650 acre lake. Boat ramp, fishing pier, boat storage, covered pavilion with grill, and restrooms. Gasoline motors are not allowed on the lake. Electric, sail, row or man-powered boats are the only vessels allowed. Summer Hours: 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. during Mid-April through November and Winter Hours: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. during November - Mid-April. Center Point Park - Amenities: Home of the 1905 Rogers steam locomotive known as "The Dinky." The Dinky is one of only three locomotives of its kind in the world. It was once used to transport cotton from the Depot in Conyers to the mills in neighboring Milstead. It is now permanently parked on the siderails across from the Depot in Center Point Park. Pine Log Park's trail is partially paved and part dirt/mulch. Trail Distance: The paved portion is 1,288', or 0.24 miles, and the entire trail is 2,447', or 0.46 miles. Rockdale County Covered Bridge - This bridge is 150 feet long and 36 feet wide. It was built in 1997 by APAC and is open to the public. It's truss is styled with decorative lattice. It goes over Mill Rock Creek. There is a parking area at this bridge. Click on link for picture and more information. Directions: From Atlanta, take I-20 east to Exit 40 at Sigman Road to Hwy. 20 north, go east on Bethel road and north on Haralson Mill Road.
