Bacon County Parks and Recreation Areas
Alma Bacon County Parks and Recreation Department is nestled amongst South Georgia's beautiful pine trees. We welcome all families to come and enjoy our park. We have a fun playground for children of all ages. The park consists of two T-Ball fields, three baseball fields, two softball fields, and 5 batting cages. It also includes four tennis courts, one football field, and a multipurpose court. In addition, there are two covered picnic shelters that can be used for family reunions, birthday parties, or company picnics. Twin Oaks Park is a privately owned campground nestled in the quiet rural community of Hoboken, Georgia. Ira Whitmer (Whit) Crews, supported by his wife, took his love of bluegrass music and turned what was once intended to be a cow pasture into one of the largest privately owned campgrounds and bluegrass conventions in the state of Georgia. Many camping clubs regularly visit Twin Oaks for their monthly campouts.
