Experience the Chattahoochee Forest Cohutta Overlook
Cohutta Wilderness has 35,268 acres of forests and majestic mountains in Georgia.
This scenic overlook is a sight to behold. You can see north Georgia mountains and forest the full 360 degrees here.
Unless you know what you are looking for, it is easy to miss this place. The GPS coordinates for parking are N34.78513 and W084.62568. The elevation there is 2242 feet. It is off Hwy 2 in the northwest area of Georgia mountains.
You will walk on a natural dirt path upwards to the overlook. It's not far and takes around 5 minutes. Along the way, you will see lots of wildflowers along the way.

The Chattahoochee Forest, Cohutta Overlook is a wonderful place to stop and stretch your legs for a few minutes. It is also good place for children to explore and see the wonders of the Georgia forest.
When you visit, bring your camera for some beautiful pictures. Spring and summer bring colorful blooms to many shrubs, vines, and herbaceous plants, ranging from the brilliant orange of flame azalea to the pink and yellow of lady's slippers, the blue cohosh, and the scarlet cardinal flower.
Since this overlook is not well known, you are likely to enjoy the view with your family and friends only. In other words, there is not likely to be anyone else there to enjoy the majestic mountains view.
