Georgia Mountain Fair

The Georgia Mountain Fair (76th annual in 2026) is held at the historic Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds every summer, drawing thousands of visitors with musical performances, arts & crafts, carnival rides, and a glimpse into North Georgia's history and culture.

Art-Tiques Vintage Market

Dealers from all over the metro area fill the Braselton Historical Gymnasium (inside and out) for this pop-up market event featuring antiques, boutique finds, repurposed creations and local artwork - rustics, salvage, primitives, furniture, jewelry, home decor, farmhouse pieces, food trucks and more. Folk Pottery Show & Arts Festival

Held annually, Saturday of Labor Day weekend, 10 am - 4 pm

The Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia's annual Folk Pottery Show & Arts Festival (18th annual in 2026) brings northeast Georgia folk potters together with regional heritage art vendors on the lawn of the Sautee Nacoochee Center, with live music, food trucks, demonstrations, and a People's Choice vote. Free admission to the festival and museum.

Grape Stomp Fest

Held annually in late summer (21+ event)

Paradise Hills Winery Resort & Spa's annual Grape Stomp Fest (14th annual in 2026) has grown from a community harvest party into a signature regional event, with live music all day, local vendors, old-fashioned grape stomping, and a Lucy-look-a-like contest. Admission (around $25) includes a souvenir glass of wine.

Helen Oktoberfest

Held annually, mid-September through early November

Helen's Oktoberfest is the longest-running Oktoberfest in the United States and the town's biggest celebration. Enjoy German music, food, drinks and dancing, including waltzes, polkas and the chicken dance, Thursdays through Sundays through September and then daily October through early November. A parade kicks off around mid-September.

Wildlife Festival (Snake Day)

Held annually in September, 10 am - 3 pm

Elachee's Wildlife Festival, formerly known as Snake Day, is Elachee's biggest event of the year - touch a snake, watch reptile and raptor demonstrations, visit the petting zoo, and meet herpetology, birding and ecology experts.

Farm Animal Fun Day

Held periodically, 10 am - 3 pm

Hardman Farm Historic Site hosts Farm Animal Fun Day to highlight the livestock that has historically called the farm home, as part of its "bringing the farm back to life" living-history programming. Animal encounters are free with site admission, which also includes a tour of the mansion and farm.

Braselton's popular annual dog event brings the whole pack (dogs, kids, friends) to Braselton Park on Harrison Street with a vendor marketplace, a Pup Strut costume parade, contests, a lure course, and Dixie Dock Dogs distance-jumping competitions near the tennis courts. Family friendly; all dogs must be leashed.

Ida Cox Music Series

Held every Saturday, June through August, 7-10 pm

Main Street Toccoa's free weekly concert series, named for Toccoa-born blues pioneer Ida Cox, features an opening act and headliner each Saturday evening in downtown Toccoa on Doyle Street (between Sage and Pond Streets). Bring a lawn chair; concerts move to the Historic Ritz Theatre if it rains.
