Hinesville for the Holidays
Held annually in early December

The City of Hinesville, along with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, hosts Hinesville for the Holidays each December - a free tree-lighting celebration in Bradwell Park with train rides, photos with Santa, choral performances and holiday-themed activities for the whole family.

Holiday Cruises on the Savannah River
Held throughout December

Savannah Riverboat Cruises runs a full seasonal lineup each December, including holiday gospel dinner cruises and Christmas Eve lunch and dinner cruises along the Savannah River, complete with Southern buffets and views of the historic riverfront. Advance reservations required; fares and sailing dates vary by cruise and are published on their site each season.

Live Nativity
Held annually the second Tuesday of December

The annual Live Nativity on the lawn at Orange Hall is a free, family-friendly outdoor event that shares the story of the birth of Jesus, with two performances typically starting at 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm. No tickets required.

Conyers Street and Osborne Street immediately adjacent to Orange Hall are closed to traffic, with limited seating available.

A Snowy Kingsland Christmas
Held annually in December

Downtown Kingsland's Historic Royal District comes together each December for a snowy holiday evening, with a real-snow play area, live entertainment, a visit from Santa Claus, and free hot cocoa, cider and Christmas cookies. Presented by the City of Kingsland and the Kingsland Downtown Development Authority. Winter Muster Reenactment
Held annually in December

Fort McAllister State Park hosts its Winter Muster Reenactment every December, commemorating the 1864 siege of the fort and the last battle of Sherman's March to the Sea. Hundreds of reenactors set up encampments, with cannon and musket firings, skirmishes and drills throughout the day building to a final assault demonstration. Midway Museum Annual Christmas Tea
Held annually in mid-December

The Midway Museum holds its Christmas Tea every December, with multiple seatings offering tea and light refreshments followed by a guided tour of the museum in its colonial Christmas decorations. Colonial-Era Living History & Seasonal Events
