Alberta Banks Park in includes the Bobby Bailey Tennis Center, and the 'Field of Dreams' an ADA accessible ballfield and playground. Leashed Pets are Allowed. It is open year-round and there is no gate fee. This is a 20.5-acre park. It has the handicap accessible Field of Dreams, Bobby Bailey Tennis Center with 12 Lighted tennis courts, 2 Softball fields, 3 Baseball fields, Playgrounds, Picnic shelter with water and electricity, Concession building and Restroom. Allen Creek Soccer Complex - Amenities: An 89 acre special use park. It is a Special Use Facility that is open for scheduled events only. It is handicapped accessible. Leashed pets are allowed. 9 Lighted fields, 3 Concession areas with adjacent accessible restrooms and 2,500 Seat Stadium. Call for scheduling and rental availability. Cedar Creek Resevoir - Amenities: A 520 acre park with a 143 acre lake and 377 wooded acres of beautiful countryside. Boat launch, fishing and hiking. Boating-Non motorized boats with electric trolling motors only. No outboard motors permitted. Leashed pets are allowed. Open year round and is free to the public. Park closes at sunset. Cherokee Bluffs - Amenities: A 100-acre park that has large natural rock outcroppings as well as a pond, streams, and a view north of foothills. It is free to the public. Proposed Amenities: Amphitheatre, nature center, dog park, archery range, walking and horseback riding trails, pavilions, and a natural playscape structure. Chicopee Agricultural Center - Amenities: This center is a public facility managed by the Hall County Department of Parks and Leisure Services. The 45-acre complex accommodates scheduled activities such as equestrian events, rodeos, animal expositions, archery competitions, company functions, festivals, etc. It is not open for general public use. It is a special Use Facility for scheduled events. Pet allowance varies with each scheduled event - call first. Amenities: 1 Large 1,700+ Seat Covered Arena, 2 Open Air Arenas, 262 Permanent Stalls (10'x12'), Small Covered Arena, Concession Area with Accessible Restrooms and Showers, and RV hook ups. City Park Complex /Candler Fields - Amenities: 2 Playgrounds, 2 Youth Little League Ball Fields, 4 Tennis Courts, 3 Pavilions, Football Stadium 2 Concession Stands, 2 Youth Softball Fields and Restrooms. Park Pavilion Rentals - March through October. Call for Pavilion rentals. Call for pavilion, field and tennis court rentals. Phone: 770-531-2680 - Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 22, go left at end of ramp, following US Highway 129 North for about 2 ½ miles (Highway 129 will become Historic Green Street). When you come to the split of Highway 129 & Highway 60, follow Highway 129 and turn right onto Glenwood Drive right past the Gainesville Civic Center. City Park is at the bottom of the hill where you turn left into the drive of City Park. If you follow the road on around pass the tennis courts, Candler Fields will be on your right as you go pass the tennis courts.
Clarks Bridge Park, Lake Lanier Olympic Center - Amenities: Amphitheatre Spectator Seating, Boat Launch, Olympic Tower with VIP Seating, Boat Dock and Restrooms. Located on Lake Lanier, this beautiful 25-acre park hosted the rowing, sprint canoe and kayaking events of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. It has individual picnic sites, beach, boat ramp, as well as the rowing and canoe-kayaking facility. Leashed Pets Allowed. Open year-round. Park closes at sunset. Directions: From I-985, take exit 24, go left at end of ramp, go 1/2 mile, take right onto Limestone Parkway, go 2 miles, take right onto Clarks Bridge Road, go 2 miles, cross Clarks Bridge, the park is on both sides of the road.
DeSota Park - Amenities: Basketball Goals, Playground, Tennis Court, Picnic Pavilion with Grill and Restroom Facilities. Call for rental facilities. Phone: 770-531-2680 - Located on DeSota Street, Gainesville, GA. Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 22, go left at end of ramp, following US Hwy 129 N to the 2nd Red Light. Turn right onto Myrtle St, turn right at the second street (McDonald St) the turn left onto DeSota St. The park will be on the right side.
Duckett Mill Campground - Amenities: Campground, Park, Campgrounds, Campground & Recreational Vehicle Parks, RV Park. It is on the 38000-acre Lake Sidney Lanier. Call to reserve a camp site. Phone: 770-532-9802 - Address: 3720 Duckett Mill Road, Gainesville, GA 30506
East Hall Community Park and Community Center - Amenities: This community park has 4 Tennis courts, 2 softball-baseball fields, 1 regulation track and 2 concession stands with accessible restrooms. A 90 acre sports complex complete with a 28,000 square foot multipurpose community center. It has an elevated walking track, community meeting room, dance room, art room and 2 full size gymnasiums. Leashed pets are allowed within the park, but no pets are allowed inside buildings. Cost is Free or Fee-based, depending on activity. Indoor amenities include a fitness center with resistance and cardio equipment. Park is open year round. Engine 209 Park - Amenities: This historical park with benches and gardens is centered around Train Engine 209, a coal car and a red caboose. This is also part of the Adopt-A-Park program through the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. Phone: 770-531-2680 - Located on West Academy Street, Gainesville, GA. Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 20, go left at end of exit, following Queen City Parkway until the red light at the intersection of Queen City Parkway & Jesse Jewell Parkway. Turn right onto Jesse Jewell Parkway. Both parks are located on the left side of Jesse Jewell Parkway & the corner of West Academy Street.
Healan's Mill Property & Head's Mill Historic Site - Amenities: Head’s Mill (a.k.a. Healan’s Mill) was constructed around 1850 by Mr. William Head to grind grain for local area residents. The mill is the last historic mill still standing in Hall County on the North Oconee River.

Hog Mountain Sports Complex - Amenities: 4 lighted baseball-softball fields, 1 practice soccer field, 6 lighted tennis courts, and concession stand with accessible restrooms. This is a School-In-A-Park Project adjacent to CW Davis Middle School and Flowery Branch High School. This 25 acre site is devoted to active sports use. Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 22, go left at end of ramp, following US Highway 129 North for about 2 ½ miles (Highway 129 will become Historic Green Street). When you come to the split of Highway 129 & Highway 60, follow Highway 60. Travel on Highway 60 (Thompson Bridge Road) for approximately 1½ miles. Turn left onto Old Thompson Bridge Road (Edgewater Apartments) turn left and follow to entrance of park.
Kenwood Park - Amenities: Playground, Walking Trail, Creek through the Park and Picnic Tables. Phone: 770-531-2680 - Located on Myrtle Street, Gainesville, GA
Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 20, go left at end of exit, following Queen City Parkway through 5 red lights and then turn left onto Summit Street. Summit Street will dead end onto Myrtle Street, turn left. Kenwood Park will be on the right at the end of the cul-de-sac and across from Myrtle Street Park.
Lanier Point Park and Athletic Complex - Amenities: Playground, Easy Access, Ample Parking, Picnic facilities, Hollywood bases, Phone to all fields, Metal halide lighting, Four 300-foot fields, Access to boat ramp, Eight-foot outfield fences, Professional supervisory staff, Spacious two story control tower and 419 Bermuda grass outfields. Gainesville Parks and Recreation welcomes dogs on leashes in our parks. However dogs, bicycles, tricycles, roller skates, skateboards, roller blades, or scooters are not allowed inside Lanier Point Athletic Complex. Park Pavilion Rentals - March through October. Directions From Atlanta: Take I-85 North to Suwanee. Turn left onto I-985. Go to Exit 20, turn left onto Queen City Parkway. Queen City Parkway will cross Jesse Jewell Parkway and become John Morrow Parkway. Stay on John Morrow and follow out of town. You will pass McDonald's on your left. There will be a BP Station on the right. Turn left onto Lanier Valley Road. This will dead-end into Lanier Point Park.
Laurel Park - Amenities: This 136-acre park is one of the largest and most scenic parks in Hall County, and is home to a mega boat ramp. The mega-ramp is 350 feet in length, about 1,048 feet in elevation, to give residents and visitors lake access during drought conditions. The project also included construction of a fishing tournament staging area, restrooms and additional parking. It has 2 Little League fields, 2 softball fields, Concession stand, Playground, 3 restroom buildings, 2 tennis courts, 25 picnic sites with grills, 23 picnic shelters with water and electricity, Boat ramp, One-mile walking trail, and Sprayground (seasonal water playground) for small children. Pets are allowed. $1 Fee for Sprayground. Open year-round. Park closes at dark.

Take Exit 24 off I-985, and turn left at end of ramp onto Jessee Jewell Parkway. Travel to Limestone Parkway (2nd stoplight) and turn right. Go to the end of Limestone parkway and turn right onto Clevleand Highway. Park is located one mile from bridge on right at New Bridge Baptist Church. Follow signs.
Laurel Bark Park - Located within Laurel Park - Amenities: Are you looking for a great place to let your family pet run free? Laurel Bark Park is just the place for you to become unleashed! Two fenced in 1 acre dog runs (one for small dogs & one for large dogs) allow the perfect place for a game of fetch, interactive play, meet and sniff out new friends and more. Amenities include benches for human friends, hydration stations and clean up stations for those "accidental occurrences." We also hold annual dog events, such as dress my pet Howl-O-Ween, summer celebrations, Doggie Easter Bone Hunt and more! Linwood Nature Preserve - Linwood Nature Preserve is located north of the City of Gainesville in a primarily residential area. The property has 4 to 5 acres in streams and wetlands along with a hilly terrain. As a green-space, controlled access will eventually be provided for passive recreation to include birding, environmental education, walking, etc. Call for directions.

Mulberry Creek Park & Community Center - Amenities: Fitness center with resistance and cardio equipment, Elevated walking 1/10 mile walking track, Community Meeting Room, Dance Room, Art Room, 2 Full size gymnasiums, Dog Park and Playground. Mulberry Creek Park is a 22-acre park with a 28,000 square foot community center, a dog park and children's playground. Leashed pets are allowed within the park. No pets are allowed inside buildings, excluding service animals. Park is open year round. Community Center is open Monday through Friday - 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday - 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Park is Free or Fee Based, depending on the activity. Old Federal Campground - Amenities: Accessible Handicapped Site, Accessible Restroom, Boat Launch Ramp, Boating, Fishing and Dump Station. Old Federal Campground is located on Lake Sidney Lanier. Lake Lanier touches five counties in Georgia and is just 45 minutes from Atlanta. The lake covers 38,000 acres that were once rolling farmland. The lake provides outdoor recreational opportunities to fish, camp, boat, picnic or sightsee. Old Federal Campground offers 59 sites with electric and water hookups and 24 sites without hookups. Additional amenities include hot showers, laundry facilities, a boat ramp,a dump station, and a swimming area. It is on the 38000-acre Lake Sidney Lanier. Call to reserve a camping site. Rafe Banks (Lula) Park - Amenities: This park offers a variety of activities for sports lovers. 15 Picnic sites, 2 baseball-softball fields, outdoor hard surface basketball court, tennis court, playground, picnic shelter, nature trail, and Concession building with restroom. Pets are allowed. It is open year-round and closes at dark. Call for more information on reserving and pricing for the pavilions and fields. River Forks Park - Amenities: This 118-acre park has a 40,000 square foot beach, Handicapped access picnic sites 63 campsites with electric and water hook-ups, a sewer pump-out station for RVs, area for group camping, boat ramp, boat launch area, volleyball net near beach area, 3 picnic shelters, 60 picnic sites with grills, Pavilion, hiking trails, fishing, bike trails, 4 playgrounds, bathhouse with showers, handicapped access, 5 restroom buildings with showers, dumping station, and 24-hour live-in security. Horseshoes and horshoe pits that can be picked up at entrance gate. Pets Allowed in camping area on a leash. No pets allowed in day use area. It is open March 1 through December 31, and is closed during January and February. Admission cost varies. Check-in at entrance. Please call for more information on reserving and pricing. Rock Creek Greenway - Rock Creek Park and Amphitheatre - Amenities: Amphitheatre with seating for 300/electricty available, War Memorial , Multi-Use Trail , Part of the Solar System Trail, Benches and Pond. Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 20, go left at end of exit, following Queen City Parkway until the red light at the intersection of Queen City Parkway & Jesse Jewell Parkway.Take a right at the red light and go to the next light, make a left onto West Academy Street and go to Northside Drive, turn left onto Ivey-Terrace Street. Ivey Terrace Park begins on the left.

Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 20, go left at end of exit, following Queen City Parkway until the red light at the intersection of Queen City Parkway & Jesse Jewell Parkway. Directions: From South - I-985, take exit 22, go left at end of ramp, following US Highway 129 North for about 2 ½ miles (Highway 129 will become historic Green Street). When you come to the split of Highway 129 & Highway 60, follow Highway 60 straight. You will go North on Highway 60 through one red light. Roper Park will be on the left just pass the Shopping Center. Turn left onto Virginia Avenue.
South Hall Community Center - Amenities: Center contains small programming rooms, billiard tables, ping pong tables, a regulation size gymnasium, offices, an outdoor playground and ball field. Daily programs include open gym, freeplay, senior activities, tai chi, etc. Individualized programs include Special Olympics, Girl Scouts, free indoor walking. Currently offering dance and baton classes. If no games are scheduled, park closes at sunset.Leased pets are allowed, but no pets are allowed inside buildings. Hours of operation Monday through Friday at 7:30 am to 9 pm. It is closed on Saturday ( excluding sponsored events) and Sunday. Facility rentals are available. Wessell Park will be on the left.
Williams Mill Greenspace - Amenities: 48 acre park with rolling meadows, streams, natural shoals, 2 small ponds and native wildlife. The park is certified as a Wildlife Sanctuary with the Atlanta Audubon Society. More than 45 species of birds have been seen at Williams Mill, in addition to the many other types of wildlife that call the park home. Leashed pets are allowed within the park.
