Daffodil ColorFest

Held annually, typically late February through mid-April

Gibbs Gardens' annual Daffodil ColorFest bursts on the scene each spring when more than 20 million daffodil blooms across 50 acres create a feast for the senses. Gibbs Gardens is recognized as an American Daffodil Society Display Garden, one of only a couple dozen in the U.S., with peak bloom typically in mid-March. Other early spring highlights include forsythia, quince, and spiraea, all flourishing under a canopy of white dogwood and flowering cherry trees, across the estate's 300-acre grounds with spring-fed ponds, streams, waterfalls and bridge crossings.

Rotating Gallery Exhibits
Exhibits change every 4-6 weeks year-round

The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association's Art Center, housed in the historic Fannin County Courthouse, keeps a rotating lineup of member and visiting-artist exhibits across its five galleries. Open Tue-Sun, 10am-6pm.

Berry Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Held annually in early March

Run through the largest campus in the world - Berry College's 27,000 acre wonderland, packed with historic buildings, pristine forest, and diverse wildlife, including a resident deer herd. This USATF-certified half marathon, 10K and 5K starts and finishes at the Ford Buildings.

Leprechaun-a-thon 5K & Health Walk
Held annually in March

The Harbin Clinic Leprechaun-a-thon is one of the largest fundraisers for Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation - a St. Patrick's-themed evening 5K and 2-mile walk through downtown Rome with a post-race celebration, drawing over a thousand participants each year.

Shamrock City
Held annually on weekends in March

Get your green on for Rock City's annual Irish celebration and festival featuring music, food and other fun entertainment! See the waterfall turned green, listen to bands and bagpipers, and taste Irish food, specialty beer and Rock City's famous fudge with a "green" twist. A Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 Event.

Held twice a year, spring and fall

Heritage Days & Welshfest
Held annually the third Saturday of March

Heritage Days & Welshfest is the only Welsh-centered festival in Georgia, held every third Saturday of March in Downtown Rockmart. It features Welsh and local entertainment, music, and a vendors village, with events like a Welsh bike ride on the Silver Comet Trail, a Welsh Tea Room, welly wanging, lessons in Welsh cooking and language, and more. Golden City Cruisers Cruise-In
Held the third Saturday of most months, 5-7 pm

The Golden City Cruisers car club hosts a monthly Cruise-In for antique car enthusiasts at The MILL Amphitheater in downtown Villa Rica, with 75-125 classic cars on display, kids' games and food vendors. Free admission; proceeds support local charities. The club also holds an annual Car Show each fall.

Big Fibbers Storytelling Festival
Held annually in March

Presented by the Ridge and Valley Storytelling Guild, Big Fibbers brings nationally known storytellers to Rome and draws listeners from all over the Southeast, with performances ranging from tall tales to personal narratives, both hilarious and tender.
