Cobb County Parks runs six recreation centers, each with an indoor gym plus classrooms or community rooms. They host youth camps, homeschool and fitness classes, adult sports leagues and open gym, and their rooms can be rented for parties, reunions and meetings.

What Each Center Offers
Fair Oaks Recreation Center
Gymnasiums, multipurpose rooms and indoor volleyball, inside Fair Oaks Park with ball fields, a sand volleyball court and a playground. Homeschool classes, school-break camps and adult volleyball and basketball leagues.
Fullers Recreation Center
Indoor gym with posted open-gym times, in East Cobb’s Fullers Park with ball fields, a turf field, pickleball courts, a dog park and trails that connect to East Cobb Park.
Ron Anderson Recreation Center
Gym, community center and classes such as martial arts, line dancing and music, inside Wild Horse Creek Park (equestrian center, BMX track and water park). Adult basketball leagues in summer and winter.
South Cobb Recreation Center
A 21,000-square-foot center with a gym, two multipurpose rooms (one set up for dance), a kitchen and a conference room, next to Lions Park.
Boots Ward Recreation Center
Full-court basketball gym, pickleball and volleyball, plus summer camps, martial arts and adult basketball, in Lost Mountain Park.
Milford Recreation Center
Cobb’s newest center: full-size gym, indoor walking track, fitness room, dance studio, classrooms, game room and a community room with a warming kitchen.
Open Gym, Classes and Rentals
During open gym you can shoot around or join pickup games; bring your own ball, and note that organized practices and coaching aren’t allowed. Schedules change each season, so check the county’s open-gym page before you go. Classes and camps are listed in Cobb PARKS’ seasonal program guide. Gyms, multipurpose rooms and community rooms can be rented on a first-come, first-served basis; call the center you want for availability and the current rental fees.
