Lock & Dam Park at the Coosa River Campground Park - 706-234-5001 - Blacks Bluff Road
Park Amentities: This local 73-acre park, located off Blacks Bluff Road is on the National Registry of Historical Landmarks. The park offers visitors 33 scenic RV ready campsites with picnic shelters, a large picnic shelter (300-person capacity) for large rental groups, the Coosa River Trading Post (a convenience fishing and camping supply store), an exhibition center, environmental education, river fishing and boat access ramp. Other amenities include: horseshoe pits, various picnic shelters, playground, restrooms, shower and laundry facility, nature trails, an observation overlook, and volleyball court. The park also has a primitive group and tent camping area, with shelters, fire rings and restrooms. |
Alto Park - Burnett Ferry Road in Rome, Georgia
68 acre Alto Park is the centralized site for community softball services in Floyd County. The 10 court, lighted tennis center is open for public play and also facilitates local USTA League play. The park also offers support amenities to include picnic areas, a picnic shelter, a picnic pavilion, skateboarding/in-line skating area, playground, outdoor stage, volleyball court, open space areas, natural and paved trails, rental opportunities and restrooms. |
Armuchee Park - Situated on Armuchee Creek
This scenic 31 acre park offers outdoor basketball courts, tent, RV and group camping areas, fishing, creek, picnic shelter, playground, restrooms, 3 softball/baseball fields, skateboarding/in-line skating areas, rental opportunities ,and 2 unlighted tennis courts. This park is located off Jones Mill Road and offers plenty of green space for free play. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth sports teams. |

This 10-acre park consists of outdoor basketball courts, multi-purpose field, picnic shelter, playground, restrooms, softball/baseball fields, 2 lighted tennis courts, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. Park serves as a practice facility for youth sports teams. |
Coosa Park - Krannert Drive in Coosa
This peaceful 11-acre park consists of outdoor basketball courts, picnic shelter, playground, restrooms, softball/baseball fields, 2 unlighted tennis courts, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth sports teams. |
Etowah Park/Youth Sports Complex - Kingston Road
The park offers 107 acres of enjoyment consisting of a Senior Adult Recreation Center, Golf Practice Facility, Etowah Youth Sports Complex (six field lighted youth baseball/softball/t-ball fields), 8 lighted tennis courts with central control building, outdoor skate center, paved trails, restroom facilities, concession stands, playgrounds, and picnic shelter. Etowah Sports Complex is a lighted six field complex consisting of four youth baseball and softball fields and 2 youth t-ball fields, concession stand, restrooms, and central service facility. This complex hosts the youth sports leagues of the Authority and GRPA District and State tournaments. |

This 38 acre park consists of the Horace Anthony Recreation Center, gymnasium, outdoor basketball courts, multi-purpose field, lake, picnic areas, accessible playground, restrooms, softball/baseball fields, an unlighted tennis court, paved trails, volleyball court, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth sports teams. |
Heritage Park
This 8 acre park, situated at the confluence of the Etowah and Oostanaula rivers. It offers a most aesthetically pleasing, passive recreation opportunity to residents of Rome and Floyd County. The park consists of a gazebo, picnic shelters, playground, fishing, /river access, and paved walking trails. |
Midway Park - Wax Road
This 12-acre park offers outdoor basketball courts, picnic shelter, playground, softball/baseball fields, restrooms, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth sports teams. |
Ridge Ferry Park - 706-291-0766 - Riverside Parkway, Rome
Amenities: This 60 acre park consists of a multi-purpose pavilion, fishing and river access, 3 picnic shelters, playgrounds, restroom facilities, natural and paved trails, 2 sand volleyball courts, wetlands demonstration area, rowing/storage facility, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. Ridge Ferry Park also hosts Mayfest Spring Festival, the Farmer’s Market, Rome Rowing Club, Heritage Holidays events, multiple yearly concerts and community events. |
Riverview Park Youth Sports Complex - 706-291-0766
This 34 acre park is located behind the levee on the Coosa River,, and consists of a Youth Sports Complex to include a 4-field Baseball Complex, 2 Field Football/Soccer Complex, playground and Legion Baseball Field, all lighted and equipped with concession stands, restrooms, public address systems, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. This Complex hosts Youth Activities Baseball, and the Unified Youth Football program. |
Shannon Park - Gaines Road, Shannon
This 22 acre park consists of a Recreation Center, outdoor basketball courts, multi-purpose fields, picnic areas, playground, restrooms, softball/baseball fields, 4 lighted tennis courts, paved fitness trails, volleyball court, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth sports teams, as well as the Rome-Floyd Adult Soccer League program. |
West Third Street Complex - 706-291-0766, West Third Street
Amenities: Approximately 13 acres, the Complex consists of Memorial Gym, Barron Stadium, Fitness Plus Sports and Fitness Center, John Maddox Track, Gymnastics Center, and an award winning 16 court Tennis Center, skateboarding/in-line skating areas and rental opportunities. The complex hosts the Rome Wolves Football and Track Program, Peach State Band Festival, Rome Relays Invitational Track Meet, and sanctioned Tennis Tournaments. |

Riverside Park - North Avenue
This 8-acre park consists of softball/baseball field, concession stand, an unlighted tennis court, and volleyball court. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth baseball, softball, and football, as well as girls youth softball league play. |
Tolbert Park - Charlton Road and Oakwood Road
This 11-acre park has an outdoor basketball court, multi-purpose field, creek, picnic areas, playground, softball/baseball field, and 2 unlighted tennis courts. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth baseball, softball and football. |

This 17-acre park, located on Garden Avenue in Lindale, consists of the Otis Gilbreath Recreation Center, outdoor basketball courts, multi-purpose fields, creek, picnic areas, playground, restrooms, softball/baseball fields, paved trails, 2 unlighted tennis courts, and volleyball court. This park also serves as a practice facility for youth sports teams. |
Anthony Recreation Center - 706-235-3870
The John Horace Anthony Recreation Center is located in Garden Lakes Park. Center amenities include gymnasium, multi-purpose room, kitchen, concession area, lobby and game room. The Center hosts Youth Basketball league play, adult & youth programs and activities, an After school program, and a Summer Day Camp program. The Center is also an excellent facility for meetings, banquets, birthday parties and socials. |
Fielder Recreation Center - 706-236-9711 - Crane Street
This 4-acre park was completed in late 1998. The Center consists of Gymnasium with 2 basketball courts, 2 multi-purpose rooms, administrative office, kitchen, and concession area. |
