Fall at the Homestead and Iron Pour - 9/26-9/27/2009 at 10 am - 4 pm
Step back to the early 1800s with a visit to the Vaughn log cabin where our staff and volunteers will demonstrate activities associated with pioneer life. Try your hand at candle dipping and woodworking, or play a few games. An iron pour will be held in the evening. $7 scratch blocks for iron pour, plus $5 parking.

Ringgold Gap Festival - 10/2-10/3/2009
This 2 day event will be a celebration of the arts. Activities include a Living Experience Camp, Civil War exhibits, a reenactment of the Battle of Ringgold Gap and other entertainment. Dedication of the statue of General Patrick Cleburne will be the highlight of the festival.

Torch Light Tour of the Ancient City - 10/3/2009 at 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Step back into ancient times as you walk along a torch-lit path and illuminated mounds. The 3/4-mile tour includes walking 134 steps to the top of 67-feet-high Mound A, the temple mound of the Etowah chief. $2.50-$5. The Battle of Allatoona Pass - 10/3-10/4/2009 at 10 am - 4 pm
Walk the trails, visit the Star Fort earthworks, and follow the old Tennessee Road just as the soldiers did in 1864. Explore daily life in the tent city, and see rifle and cannon demonstrations. This event is located near the park at Allatoona Pass Battlefield. $5 parking.

Christmas Candlelight Tour - 12/5/2009 at 6:30-9:30 pm
Kick off the Christmas season with a 19th-century celebration including decorations, caroling, music and refreshments typical of the 1820s Cherokee Nation Capital. Grab your candle lantern and dress for a ¾-mile outside walk through the historic grounds and buildings. $3.50-$5.
