Historical, enviromental and recreational education and activities are on the program in this 3 day camp beginning at Roosevelt's Little White House. For children ages 9 to 12. Hypertufa Class Offered by Master Gardeners - 8/8/09 at 10 am - 12 pm Noon
Want to have more fun than making mud pies? Featuring an instructional class on Hypertufa Container making. Hypertufa means fake volcanic stone. This is a working class and attendees will get to take home their personally created container. There is a nominal $10 charge to pay for the materials that go into making the container. Please call the County Extension Office to reserve your spot in this class. The class will be limited in size. Cost: $10 per person.

Georgia Veterans Memorial Triathlon and Duathlon - 8/15/09 at 7-10 am
Racers can participate in a triathlon, a half-mile swim in Lake Blackshear, a 13.6 mile bike race and a 3.1-mile run, or a duathlon, which drops the half-mile swim. Registration fee. $5 parking.

Swim in the historic pools originally built by Franklin D. Roosevelt as a place for therapy. Normally kept empty for preservation, the pools will be filled with naturally warm spring water. 1 1/2-hour swim sessions begin at 10 a.m. Ages 6 and older. Reservations suggested but not required.

Fala Day - 11/7/2009
FDR's Little White House will host its annual Fala Day program with participants from the Greater Atlanta Scottish Terrier Association. Activities include an opening parade, costume parade, grooming exhibits and bagpipe music. All Scotty dogs welcome on a six-foot leash. Free admission to the program held in the picnic area. A Warm Springs Thanksgiving - 11/21/2009 at 10 AM - 2 PM
FDR and Eleanor will be serenaded by descendants of Bun Wright, FDR's favorite fiddler, in this Living history program on the sundeck of the Little White House.
