Discover the Yellow River Park in Stone Mountain Georgia
This 566 acre park features beautiful forests and wildflowers. It is one of the best places to enjoy in the southern tip of Gwinnett County.
General Info
This park is mostly wooded and contains several different types of forests. The wooded area covering the majority of the park mainly consists of upland deciduous forests, traditional pine woodlands, and mixed pine and hardwood forests. The park includes 12 miles of soft surface winding mountain bike, hiking and horse trails through the woods above the Yellow River. Bike trails range from flat, smooth and wide for beginner cyclists to twisty, rocky and steep single-track trails coveted by more advanced cyclists.
Bike Trail: 10 miles of singletrack loop trails. Trails are some of the most heavily visited in the area. Yellow River Park was adopted by mountain bikers after environmental regulations and restrictions on cross-basin transfer of water led to the abandonment of the original plans. Well maintained. Mountain bikers and equestrians cross paths in a few places but the trails are separate. Please respect the privilege we all share in using this trail.
Park Hours: Sunrise to sunset unless posted otherwise
